I started working out with Joe and Kim in June 2008. At that point, my idea of exercise was getting off the couch to walk to the fridge and get a soda.

I was over weight, squishy, had sore knees and ankles, could barely walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded. I'd been wanting to make a change for some time, but just didn't know where to start. I heard about the Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp, but their schedules didn't work out with mine. Until one day I saw a Noon Hour Boot Camp. At last, something I felt I could do. I read all the info, I got a friend to join with me, I decided to make the commitment and join. And did. Even then, I was scared. I ended up phoning Kim, asking her what kinds of people would be there, were they all fit marathon runners, would I be the only fatty, would I be able to keep up?

She assured me that there were all levels of people there, some more and some less fit than others, I would be fine. I accepted this, and said I would be there. But I was still apprehensive, still scared.The whole weekend before Boot Camp started I went from feeling I screwed up, got in over my head, to I can do it, it's only a month, I need to do something. I got to the first boot camp, it was in the park, the weather was good, my best friend was beside me, and I was shaking like a leaf. Had been throwing up all morning from nerves. Joe greeted us, made us feel comfortable. Explained a few things we were to do, and then started. We warmed up, we got into some stuff, and before I knew it, it was over. Yes, I was sore, yes, I was sweating, yes, I was tired. But I made it through. I kept up, I didn't embarrass myself, and I came back the next day. And then the next. And then the next. It's now been nine months, I still get a nervous stomach before workouts, and I still make it through. I am no longer squishy, my knees rarely hurt, and I can make it up several flights of stairs without getting winded. So much so, that recently while on vacation in Mexico, a group of us decided to go Zip lining. We got on a bus, drove to camp, got fitted for zipping, climbed 500 feet up the rest of a mountain, and then jumped off!! 1500 feet down! A year ago, I would have never gotten on that bus, now, I am climbing mountains and jumping off. I'm down 2 pant sizes, my doctor says I am the healthiest she's ever seen me in 15 years. I still have a long way to go, but with Joe and Kim's help, for the first time in my life, I know I am going to get there. One work out at a time.

Bootcamp has been what I've needed to make that lifestyle change everyone talks about when trying to lose weight and keep it off. I met Kim and Joe in May of 2009. I had just lost 110lbs after 10 months. The problem was I lost all the weight through eating alone and virtually no exercise. I knew for me to be able to maintain the extreme weightloss, I needed to change my lifestyle and make exercise a regular part of my day. As well, after such a huge loss I was flabby and had a LOT of loose skin to contend with!
 
After the first 4 week bootcamp I felt amazing! I could even see some tone and definition starting to pop out here and there. I was ADDICTED! My dress size was another size smaller and my clothes started to feel roomier. Within the first 4 weeks of Bootcamp I knew this was the key to making that change in my life. It was the key to maintaining my dramatic weightloss and the key to feeling healthy from the inside out. I signed up for the next camp. I was so impressed with my results and how much fun it was that my enthusiasm for Bootcamp spilled over into my work place and 4 colleagues signed up too! Now we are what you call LIFERS! We find ways for Kim and Joe to keep us around;) I went so far as to get my Group Fitness Certification and become a team member of Lethbridge Adventure Bootcamp, leading a class in the New Year!
 

I can't thank these two enough. They are truly inspirational, motivating trainers who know how to push you to get the best results and to help you make fitness part of your daily lifestyle. I call Kim an artist, a sculptor, who has transformed my loose skinned, flabby body into a toned, defined and strong woman! Thanks Lethbridge Adventure Bootcamp!

I enjoyed Lethbridge Adventure Boot Camp so much.........I am going to join the next camp. I was only three days in the first camp and i really wish i would have joined for the five days. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about something entitled "Boot Camp". I envisioned a lot of yelling and not the most nurturing environment. However, since day one of camp, I have been nothing but thrilled to wake up and hang out with my newly acquainted friends. After two camps, I have learned so many new exercises that have stirred muscles I didn't know I had! The biggest change for me has occurred in my arms, hips and abs. I feel so much leaner and firm. I'm into a size 4 and my energy level has seen a significant boost. So, whether it's interval training with weights or yoga and Pilates, I look forward to every morning's new adventure.

Participating in the Lethbridge bootcamps has been the most positive exercise experience for me! I have taken three and with each one, I have seen fantastic physical results (reduction in measurements and body fat). Lethbridge Adventure Bootcamp has been a great experience for me. I never realized that I could be this fit. Joe has helped me reach my goals. I have lost 30 Lbs, and went from a size 10 to a size 2. For all the people that think they can't do it, YOU CAN! Boot Camp is fun and it feels so good to exercise and most of all I feel great. Being almost 50 I feel I am in better shape than ever, even though I have exercised all my life. This is the boost I needed. It's not just about looking good, more importantly about a healthy lifestyle.
